PUBLICATION THE RAINBOW COLLECTION
The Rainbow Collection is an extensive Swiss Urban Art collection, which currently includes more than 200 works by international Street Art, Urban Art & Graffiti artists. It is considered to be the only and possibly densest Street & Urban Art collection based in Switzerland.
In 2019, TDBS was commissioned to play a major role in the comprehensive production of the book about the beginnings of the collection with 100 works at that time.
Together with the collectors, TDBS has authered a 285-page publication on 71 artists, highlighting personal stories of collecting, writing detailed image descriptions and deciphering some of the visual references and content characteristics of urban art, and providing in-depth work analyses, art historical reference points, and classifications of urban art as a contemporary art genre. With images and text and a unique layout, a visual red thread was created throughout the publication.
The result was a body of work featuring exclusive street art photographs from the collector's archive and images from the collection of artists from around the world.
TDBS was author and editor, helped to select curatorially and took over the large part of art historical treatises on other art movements.
TDBS also took care of the distribution channel and other public relations.
